COVID-19

For up-to-date information on COVID-19, please visit ACEP's website.

ACEP is updating their COVID-19 Clinical Alert repository daily to assist you with patient care. The resources are available at the link below. If you can't find what you need or need additional support, ACEP is here to help.

ACEP members: Even more resources are being shared between physicians in ACEP's COVID-19 engagED forum. Share what you are learning in real time.

ACEP just released its COVID-19 Field Guide that includes resources on workplace safety, coming home from your shift, patient risk stratification, EMS, and much more.

EMRA recently sent the following information to its resident members and medical students: Navigating Uncertain Times: Impact of COVID-19 on Medical Trainees.

To support residency program directors who need to replace their weekly conference activities due to social distancing requirements, ACEP has made ACEP's My Residency Learning Portal available at no charge for 30 days. Programs can incorporate a free trial of PEER and Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine learning modules as well.

ACEP is in touch with the ACGME to seek clarification on synchronous and asynchronous learning requirements for residents during this national crisis. As they know more, ACEP will tailor their existing resources to help programs fulfill educational requirements.

If you have any questions about ACEP's "My Residency Learning Portal", please contact Michele Byers, Managing Director, ACEP Education at mbyers@acep.org.

Housing Options for Healthcare Workers

We understand the challenges our members are facing as they try to keep their family and friends safe. To this end, California ACEP and ACEP have been working to find alternative housing options for emergency physicians and other healthcare workers.

Check out our page dedicated to Alternative Housing Options.

We sent an open letter out to AirBnB and Vrbo calling on them to offer discounted housing options to healthcare workers. The California Thoracic Society signed onto our effort. Since sending the letter, AirBnB has started an effort to provide housing for healthcare workers.
